BETHEL PREP

Shaping the future and restoring our Christian Heritage

with Jesus Christ at the center of all learning

POLICIES
Program

Kindergarten students must be five years of age by September 30 and first grade students must be six years of age by September 30. Kindergarten is a full day, five days per week program. Bethel Prep is a grade K-12 school.

Devotions are shared daily in all grades. Bethel Prep uses a Principle Approach, Biblical-Classical method of learning that has Scripture as its foundation and is a time-tested and proven method advocated by the Association of Classical and Christian Schools. The core subjects are Bible, reading, language arts (including phonics, handwriting and spelling), Latin, math, science, and history. Music, art, physical education and foreign languages are included in the weekly course of study. Standards, or levels of expectation, set forth by the Association of Classical and Christian Schools and the N.J. Core Curriculum Content Standards are utilized in curriculum design as well as student on-going assessment. Homework is assigned at all grade levels.

Classroom teachers have teaching certificates either from their home state or a New Jersey certification, the Association of Christian Schools International, the Association of Classical and Christian Schools, or are in the process of obtaining them.

Bethel Prep challenges students to meet high academic goals. Students must achieve passing grades in core subjects to move to the next grade level.
