Educational background:
* B.S. in Physical Psychology, B.A. in
Studio Arts from the University of California at Riverside
* Single Subject teaching credentials in
English and Art from San Francisco State University
Teaching experience:
* Substitute teaching in the South San
Francisco Unified School District
* Long-term substitute teaching there in
the Special Education program
Other experiences that have made me a better teacher:
*Working as a couselor and a teacher with emotionally
disturbed children at Burt ChildrenŐs Center in San Francisco for a year.
Sports, hobbies, special interests:
*Classical guitar, hiking, editing my churchŐs newsletter.
Why I became a teacher:
*I became a teacher when I discovered how rewarding the work
could be and when that reward became a goal.
What I love about teaching:
*Watching the young become proficient in a new skill is
wonderful. Watching a child simply
grow through the extent of a year is educational in itself.
Why I came to Bethel Prep:
*Watching my sonŐs growth and development at Bethel Prep last
year convinced me to apply for work in this supportive Christian environment.
What I look forward to at Bethel Prep
* The high standards and excellence in both curriculum and staff.
* Being involved in GodŐs work and will.
